 Astra Travel was established in Bloemfontein in 1991. After 4 years the business expanded into the Northern Cape when Astra Travel Kimberley was opened. Astra Travel Potchefstroom followed and was opened in the late 1990's, servicing the North West Province.
Astra Travel Pretoria followed in the early 2000's. The group's services expanded further when a national and international tour operator amalgamated with the Astra Group in 2000 and is now known as Astra Tours / Events. This division is responsible for inbound and local tours as well as incentive tours. These services make the group more flexible and unique than the opposition in the market.
